Jackie Sawiris - a half Jordanian, half Egyptian, American-raised director/producer/actor/writer - has been active in the American, UK, and Jordanian film, television and theatre industries since 1988. She is currently in prdevelopment on Falls the Shadow (feature film), a mystical love story, Jackie and the 40 Yellow Cabs (feature film), a comedy in collaboration with award-winning filmmaker Mahmoud al Massad, and in production/post-production on an experimental documentary called Believe, an evolving cross-cultural mystery.

Behind the scenes Jackie has worked in various roles with Warner Brothers, Disney, ABC and HBO as well as her own, and other, independent short films, music videos and documentaries.

In front of the camera Jackie has acted under the direction of Stanley Kubrick, Oliver Hirschbeigel, Spike Lee Stephen Norrington and many others, as well as in British and American television programmes.

In addition to several feature and short film scripts, she also writes articles and stories which have appeared in publications in the UK, Middle East and America.

Jackie, who has dual American / Egyptian nationality, received her B.A. in Journalism from New York University, speaks fluent English and basic spoken Arabic, loves traveling and is always on the lookout for kindred spirits ...
